This freshwater aquarium built on in Lugano stands out majestically in shape and size in a living room with attention to details.
It is an imposing curved basin furnished with rocks and sand coming directly from Lake Malawy, the addition of ornamental plants in the background creates an important perspective effect.
The aquarium has a completely tailored geometry, straight in the first part and curved in the final part harmoniously following the wall of the living room. The volume is 1400 liters, the weight of the empty tank is over 400 kg.
Given the installation area not accessible to heavy vehicles, the tank was transported by helicopter and 6 days of work and 8 people were required to install it.
Inside, 150 yellow cichlids and 150 cichlids have been inserted, which in bright livery will become bright blue. The gray rocks laid on a sandy bottom of Lake Malawy are placed in the foreground compared to the hard stem plants placed near the back wall.
The aquarium is fully automated and remotely managed with 24-hour control via cameras in the filter area. Weekly chemical tests and water changes are automated as well as the delivery of products and food to fish.
What to say, all you have to do is enjoy the show!
