An oasis of tranquility and beauty hides on board the yacht Vicky Baglietto: a magnificent tropical freshwater aquarium, which enchants the eyes with its slender column shape and its lively population of cichlids. This extraordinary and customized aquarium was created to offer a unique experience of contemplating underwater life during offshore cruises.
The project
Minimalism synonymous with elegance
Bathtub built in 2008 on board a 58 meter cruising Super Yacht in the well-known Italian shipyard BAGLIETTO. The setup is sweet with Malawi cichlids, wood, rocks and trunk plants (Anubias, Microsorum and Ferns).
Given the particular dimensions of the tank, very high and narrow, a methacrylate tank was chosen, obviously made to measure with all the specifications and modifications necessary for installation in the nautical field.
The filter area is located under the stairs and adopts a system of automated management. The compensation tanks used in case of rough seas or simply during the most demanding navigations have been planned and sized by our design studio.
The operation of all technical equipment is controlled and controlled by a Touchscreen PC located in the filter area, the reading of all vital parameters and the operation of the technical components can also be done from our "Maintenance" center remotely via the web.

The internal aquascape is saltwater, with the choice to include exclusively soft corals and reef fish as requested by customer during the design phase.
The aquarium on board this yacht is a perfect example of how the art of aquarium can be integrated into the luxury and comfort of a prestigious vessel. Its presence embellishes the interior of the vessel, creating a unique and engaging atmosphere for all those lucky enough to get on board.
Majestically populated by colorful cichlids, the aquarium becomes a lively and fascinating microcosm.
